Debts under £5,000 |

For debts below £5,000 there are two options we would suggest;
1/ If you have a CCJ against you for one of the debts, you can make a personal application to the court for an Administration Order. This entails payment direct to the court of a single, regular, affordable amount which the court distributes to the creditors on your behalf.
A small charge is made by the court for this service, but once in force it does offer you the ability to rebuild your life and offers peace of mind. Whilst the order is in force, creditors must not put pressure on you and are obliged to accept the payments made via the court office.
If you pay your installments regularly, the court may agree to write off any remaining debts after three years, giving you a fresh start.
To qualify for an Administration Order, you must:
- Have at least 2 debts
- One of the debts must be a county / high court judgment
- Your total debts must not be more than £5000.
2/ If you don't have a CCJ against you, we would suggest a Debt Management scheme which, if suitable should reduce your outgoings and debts dramatically.
